Lie...& our BRAIN....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
During my ‘spiritually inclined’ days a few months back, I sometimes used to wonder why we are always told to tell the truth or not to tell a lie. And then I came to believe that it was to keep our lives less complicated, because when you tell the truth you do not have to remember what you said, and also your brain does not have to do regression testing of every situation that may get effected. Just as in software testing, every time you make any small change in the code, you have to test and re-test everything to see that it is not affecting any un-imaginable or ‘not so obvious’ components, every time you tell a lie you have to do a calculation like chess moves and see where all you will have to synchronize the facts and lies.
Now this is what the scientists in the western world have recently found out:
“Brain scans show that the brains of people who are lying look very different from those of people who are telling the truth, claim U.S. researchers. "There may be unique areas in the brain involved in deception that can be measured with fMRI," said Dr. Scott Faro, director of the Functional Brain Imaging Center at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. "There may be unique areas in the brain involved in truth telling," Faro added at a news conference. "We found a total of seven areas of activation in the deception (group)," he said. "We found four areas of activity in the truth-telling arm." Overall, it seemed to take more brain effort to tell the lie than to tell the truth, Faro found.”
Your brain actually has to make more effort to tell a lie, may be because you have to think, calculate and then speak. You have to cook up data in your brain and then speak, while telling a truth is just like querying data and publishing it as such without any manipulations.
Interesting, isn’t it?

Confession by Data...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
Came across this interesting quote somewhere:
If you torture data sufficiently, it will confess to almost anything. (Fred Menger)
Is this not what most of us in consulting kind of profession do, try to prove our point by slicing and dicing data to support our view, but most of the times we forget what this quote says:
Data does have a problem, in that it's only available about the past. (Clayton Christensen)

Loneliness
Came across this interesting and profound thought somewhere while browsing the net:
"The whole conviction of my life now rests upon the belief that loneliness, far from being a rare and curious phenomenon, is the central and inevitable fact of human existence."--Thomas Wolfe, “God's Lonely Man"
To me, these words are my words and this is how I deal with my loneliness and enjoy my solitude. I have realized with many people around me that they are immensely uncomfortable with being alone and hence they keep seeking company from here there and everywhere, whether they and the other person enjoy it or not. In fact whenever I see all these people I am often reminded of another quote which says “If you can not enjoy your own company, why inflict it on others”...........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What I don't Understand.......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't understand:
? Why Auditors are afraid to report wrong doings of corporate houses?
? What Rich people will do with the unlimited wealth they have created? If u are earning to donate , why earn in the first place??
? Why GOD will manage this world? He is God because he has left all the
worldly attachments. Now after that why will he engage in managing the world??
Do seeds need God to make it a tree?? No! Its automatic! So is our theory of
Karma. No interference of GOD here.
? Why Companies are extremely & only sales and profit focus?? What is the overall purpose of RESERVES and SURPLUS at the cost of extreme stress it causes on people and environment??
? Why School teachers and Military/Police are under paid professions??
? Why we need VASTU, Various Stones, Astrologists, Feng Sui, Visit to unlimited Temples unlimited times (Without slightest of change in ourselves) , Tarot Card Readers and the likes when we (souls) are bonded by our own KARMA? Nothing can change our fortune than our own KARMA and unchangeable destiny (ie results of our past KARMAs)
? Killing of Goats on Bakri Eid? How any religion can celebrate festivals by killing any animals??
? How rich and famous can participate one or the other parties almost daily? Its their need or choice?
? Why news papers report crime and negatives news daily?? We read newspapers to know abt type of crime in the city?? Media has to change and must start reporting abt positive & inspiring happenings in & around the city, country and the world.
? Why all TV serial actors always stand and talk in their houses? We normally sit and talk.
? How many entrepreneurs are aware abt their balance sheet position if they wish to close their business tomorrow? (i.e. whether Net-worth - dead stock - bad debts not written off - un realizable investments & fixed assets is positive??)
? Why we invite so many people in a wedding? Something must change the way we celebrate our weddings or spent on our weddings.
? How Amitabh Bachchan and Om Puri can recommend Cement Products and Shatrughna Sinha Pipes??Are they anyway connected with the products as a users?? Are they technically qualified?? Pepsi, Chvyanprash, Clothes, Oil etc are still okay as they might be using it and recommending it but Cement and Pipes??
? Why Pakistan is not interested in the development of their own Territory
and keen on acquiring Kashmir. Someone in Pakistan must study impact of keeping
good relations with India.
If u have any clue on any of the
above, pl do drop in a few lines. (Also share What U don't
understand).

Money is Still not Everything.......Because it Still Can't buy Sincere Joys...........!!!!!!!!!!
“If you want to feel rich, just count the things you have that money can’t buy”
Anonymous
Coincidentally, a friend sent me a lovely e-mail forward, which matched the above quote. This is what it said.
The best moments in life are:
* To fall in love.
* To laugh until it hurts your stomach.
* To listen to your favorite song in the radio.
* To go to bed and to listen while it rains outside.
* To leave the shower and find that the towel is warm.
* To receive a call from someone, you don’ t see a lot, but you want to.
* To laugh at yourself looking at mirror, making faces.:)))
* Calls/chats at midnight that last for hours.:))
* To laugh without a reason.
* To accidentally hear somebody say something good about you.
* To wake up and realize it is still possible to sleep for a couple of hours.
* To hear a song that makes you remember a special person.
* To be part of a team.
* To watch the sunset/sunrise
* To make new friends.
* To feel butterflies in the stomach every time that you see that person. (I dont know when was the last time ANY of us felt that way!)
* To see people that you like, feeling happy.
* To use a sweater of the person that you like and find that it still smells of their perfume.
* See an old friend again and to feel that the things have not changed.
* To take an evening walk along the beach.
* To have somebody tell you that he/she loves you.
* To laugh .......laugh........and laugh ...... remembering stupid things done with stupid friends.
I find that coincidentally, all of the above, do not cost any money—but bring so much joy. Don’t you agree that money gives you only fleeting happiness, but happy memories last a lifetime?

Fault: Is It Really the Other Person?... Or US?
All along it was me........IT WAS ME.......Oh my God.....!!!!
It was me who has changed over the time. And I have the problem with the relationship now that it is not like what it was when it started. Looking at myself, I am shocked to see that I have changed so much. It is of course the other person has also changed and hence the relationship has been affected over time.
But, he is not the only one to blame it is equally me or probably more of me who should be blamed for all the loss.
I always knew he runs away at the earliest possible moment citing excuse as lame as anything but I should have hold on. I knew he has a problem expressing his love. I knew he is not good at overcoming obstacles and that's when he shoves me away so that it doesn't hurt not knowing it hurts a lot more when he does that to me.
With the passage of time I started hiding my feelings from him about how good or miserable I actually feel at a certain point in time. How I love him like crazy and moreover I miss him everyday, every night, every moment when he is not with me. I stopped telling him how I keep thinking of the time we spent together. I stopped doing all this because I thought he doesn't have the time for me now or he has other priorities or he doesn't care or most hurtful he has stopped loving me.
I was not the same person when we met. I was the person who always knew what I want and I made sure that I get it of course not by hurting others. I used to ask for what I want. I was straight forward. I used to express my feelings to him without beating about the bush. And most importantly I used to fight for what I wanted.
And now I will fight. I will fight for his love, for our love. I want his attention and I'll get his attention. Even if it means breaking down the window panes which he has shut just to avoid me. I will fight for what we share because it is precious enough to save and cherish for the lifetime.

Another Unsolved Mystery of LIFE....!!!!!!!!!!!
Sometimes, like today I just wish to elope somewhere.. somewhere far away from the daily masking of the happiness I no longer feel but have to put up for the ones I am living with, I am interacting with, daily.. Immediate family, friends, colleagues & sometimes to ourselves. Why do we do this, masking happiness, faking humour? Is it because the people around us would get upset that we are not happy particularly not happy without a specific reason? Or is it just that we are being hypocrites? Or is it our inability to accept ourselves the way we are?
What is it that forces us to just shut all the doors to the world outside and just elope somewhere? Elope to a place where nobody knows us, where we do not have to fake our happiness. To a place that is calm and serene. Just elope for sometime to regain & restore our sanity which is needed to get going with the usual life.
But, we often do not get to have such breaks! Is this because we come across to severe and cruel insanity or rather inhumanities every now and then?
Would be grateful if life ultimately answers this!
I guess... It would be another unanswered question!

Turmoil
Somebody said "Let it go. There is no use getting abused or letting someone exploit you."
I... I am just confused if I am actually exploited or is it just a rough patch which does not spare any relationship. A turmoil which determines the fate of every relationship and a lot of people associated, some even plainly innocent. It spares none. Relationships which are able to survive it are considered to be strong and there are others or rather most which fail.
But me... Am I selfish if I seek happiness out of a relationship?
I am often called selfish by the person I love only because I am not able get his point for what all he did to me.
Just because it is not easy for me to forgive his doings atleast forgiving instantly, this makes me selfish?
Hope life really answers me fast if I am actually a victim and should look out to heal myself or I am just simply selfish and should get to work on my character......!!!!!!!!!

Maintaining our Individuality will take us to our Happiness
"Tere jaane ka asar kuch aisa huya mujh par,
tujhe dhundte-dhundte maine khud ko paa liya..."
Lines made famous by the bestselling novel "I too had a love story" by Ravinder Singh.
Often we get so immersed in a relationship and so obsessed with a person we tend to forget our individuality. Eventually, expectations from the person and the relationship increase and we get hurt when we do not get what we expected. We just do not get hurt, we feel used, we feel taken-for-granted and then the relationship suffers and ultimately dies.
What is necessary is to maintain our own individuality which obviously does not mean to protect the ego. This ego would also poison your relationship and more importantly YOU. Maintain your individuality, make efforts for your own happiness, concentrate on your spiritual self and see the magic in your relationships.
Whensoever you want to see a change in any person or a relationship start bringing changes in you and your approach.
"You cannot change anything in this world, but YOU."
